THE THATCH GUESTHOUSE

The guest house is situated on 3 hectares of land, featuring beautiful gardens, a Koi pond and swimming pool and located between Pretoria and Johannesburg.
We are 12 minutes away from the Fourways Mall, and very central to Pretoria, Midrand, Sandton, Kyalami, Randburg, and Roodepoort. The Johannesburg Airport is 45 minutes away, while the Rand Airport and Grand Central Airport is within a short driving distance.

The Thatch Guest House is situated on 3 hectares of beautiful gardens with Koi pond, enclosed garden areas, and plenty of bird life. A swimming pool with large lawns gives enough space for relaxation. Accommodation is contained in the Main House, a Private Cottage and two Garden Wings. There are 9 rooms with twin beds, and all have their own private bathrooms. All bedrooms have a individual décor theme.
The high open thatch roof gives a feeling of openness and space. From the front verandah there is a splendid view of the tranquil surroundings of the gardens, while from the back the most stunning sunsets can be viewed. At night, there is the light display of the cities of Sandton and Johannesburg.
The guesthouse offers a full English breakfast, and pre-arranged dinners, from potjiekos, braai, or traditional food. All vegetables used in the preparation of meals are grown organically on the property and the farm atmosphere is enhanced by geese, ducks, chickens and other birds in our enclosed camp.
A full bar is available, as well as a shuttle service (according to AA rates) within a 20km radius.
The Conference Centre is fully equipped and can seat up to 80 people which is suitable for conferences, as well as small weddings and birthday parties. The spacious garden lends itself to some great teambuilding.
Golf courses such as Kyalami, Dainfern, Centurion and Ruimsig are in close proximity, while the newly developed Samrand and Peach Tree courses are literally minutes away.

Although we are primarily a bed and breakfast facility, we can provide dinner with prior notice and can cater for up to 120 people on special occasions or private dinner parties. Requests for special catering such as fish braai, Potjiekos, spitbraai etc, for groups are catered for. Live entertainment can be arranged, as well as a fully stocked bar at reasonable prices.
Weddings and year end functions in a marquee tent are in high demand, as it is surrounded by the gardens, and is very private. We can work out a package to suit every budget.
CONFERENCES
